&lt;p&gt;We are looking for a highly motivated health professional to join our One You Health Improvement Service at Dartford Borough Council.&amp;nbsp; We are part of an innovative Health Improvement partnership in the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley area and are commissioned by KCC to deliver the One You Kent health service in Dartford.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will carry out one to one health and wellbeing assessments, supporting people to lose weight, move more, stop smoking, drink less and improve diet and mental wellbeing. You will also support delivery of our successful weight management programmes and other preventative health initiatives&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Participation in community and other One You promotional events will form key areas of work will include travel to venues and locations across the borough.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will work collaboratively with colleagues within the Council, voluntary, community and health sectors to ensure that the customer is at the centre of a holistic approach to their health needs.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will be highly motivated and able to build good rapport with individuals within the community using excellent communication skills. You will have an up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and wellbeing interventions and a passion for developing this knowledge base.&lt;/p&gt;

The post comes with the line management responsibility for currently 4 members of staff and you will play a lead role in improving housing standards in the borough’s significant private rented sector.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;The Disabled Facilities Grant &amp; Renovation Grants process.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The work of the Private Sector Empty Properties Officer.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The work of the Blocks of Flats Officer.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&amp;nbsp;You will also represent the council at meetings with internal and external partners.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;You must be able to demonstrate the following:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Substantial experience of working in Private Sector Housing/Environmental Health (Housing Standards) enforcement and have extensive working knowledge and skills in the field;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Hold or be working towards a relevant qualification in an appropriate discipline, for example a CIH qualification in Housing, BSc, MSc or HNC/HND in Environmental Health, an HNC/HND in Building Studies/Surveying, APC-Housing. Or be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge, skills and experience in this field;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;In depth knowledge and experience in HHSRS, including completing assessments and producing reports/schedule of works and the service of legal notices/ orders;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Have a good knowledge of building construction (a building maintenance related qualification is desirable but not essential), detailed knowledge of the relevant legislation, enforcement experience and be able to manage your own caseload;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Investigate and provide responses to Stage 1 complaints.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Positively promote works completed successfully, utilising social media platforms&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Provide timely updates and clear communication regarding schedules, access requirements, and progress.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Address resident concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Support vulnerable residents to ensure their needs are met during works.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Maintain accurate records of communications, appointments, and feedback.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Work collaboratively with contractors, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;About You&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience working with contractors and understanding of site processes&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Strong problem-solving ability and a customer-first approach.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Experience in housing, as a resident liaison officer or customer facing role is desirable&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Must hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
