Asset Management and Property Officer

The Council is now recruiting an Asset Management & Property Officer, responsible for property related projects, from business planning and development to physical delivery and ongoing facilities management, including compliance. The postholder will also be responsible for monitoring and addressing the Council’s commercial property portfolio’s exposure to risks, such as compliance, financial, legal and reputational; supporting the Property Services Manager in delivering and implementing asset management policies throughout the Council, and leading on the implementation and delivery of a compliance property management database.
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team dealing with a range of property & project matters and must be able to manage competing demands, be an effective communicator and able to build good relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
If you are a member of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), or other similar professional body, have relevant experience in asset management and legal compliance in either the public or private sector, and have experience of managing projects and facilities management databases/systems, then we would be keen to hear from you.

This post is considered by DBC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
