Are you a talented graphic designer ready to make a significant impact on one of the country’s fastest growing boroughs? We are looking for a creative, conscientious, and consistent Senior Graphic Designer to elevate the Council’s brand to new heights. You must work to promote a highly professional internal and external brand, and support our Communications Team in achieving our corporate objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently adhere to brand guidelines and act as a brand guardian to ensure impactful design across all channels and assets.
  • Produce high-quality design assets for online and offline use, including social media and web banners, corporate videos, brochures, events, flyers, and merchandise.
  • Create engaging digital videos and animations – attending Council and partner events when needed.
  • Support presentations / collateral to present the Council in the best light to residents and partners.
  • Provide intranet / web design support for content publication and enhance user experience on the corporate website.
  • Work across the organisation at all levels, thriving in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree-level (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Excellent layout and typography skills.
  • Proficiency in illustrative work.
  • Skills in video animation production.
  • Conceptual flair with an exceptional eye for quality and detail, coupled with the ability to challenge when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to confidently present ideas to the wider team.

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of web design, user experience principles, and publishing content across a variety of platforms and devices.
  • Knowledge and experience in capturing corporate photography, video, and audio content to support multi-channel marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of editing software such as Premiere or Final Cut Pro would be a bonus.
