The Dartford and Sevenoaks Internal Audit Partnership is seeking a Lead Auditor with experience, commitment and enthusiasm to drive the service forward and add real value to both Councils. The Partnership provides internal audit services to both Councils through a Shared Service arrangement.  All of the team work across both sites and recognise the unique opportunities available through partnership working.

As the Lead Auditor reporting to the Partnership Audit Manager (CAE) you will have a pivotal role in managing the delivery of the Dartford Internal Audit Plan, including forming strong working relationships with clients across all levels of the organisation, developing the Plan and ensuring a high quality service is provided. You will also have a varied plan of work across both sites including high-level, strategic reviews and supervision of auditors’ work. We are committed to continually developing with the profession and as such, are currently forming the long term Strategy for the Partnership, including the skills and techniques that we will need to be an impactful service in the future. As the Lead Auditor you will be able to influence the direction of this Strategy and of the Partnership, and help steer us towards our ambitious goals.

You will also be operationally managing one or two members of the team, providing leadership, coaching and professional development. The team and your peers will look to you for inspiration and as a tool to help deliver high quality work. Our structure is designed on the basis of providing opportunity and development, including continued professional development and access to the training and coaching available at both sites. We are looking for people with the right approach, attitude and passion for the profession. By joining the Partnership you will actively seek to add value, and in return, you will be given every opportunity to develop Chief Audit Executive responsibilities and your leadership style. If you are ready for a new challenge, and after reading the above would like to be part of the Partnership in the Lead Auditor role, then we would welcome your application.
