Planning and Litigation Lawyer
We are recruiting for a Planning and Litigation Lawyer with 2 to 3 years PQE (Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive) to join our team on a permanent basis, on a full time basis, of 37 hours a week.
You will be involved with a range of contentious and non-contentious planning related matters, to include advice, judicial reviews, planning appeals, section 106 agreements, due diligence, compulsory purchase orders and attendance at Planning Committee.
It is important that you have solid experience of day-to-day management of disputes and legal claims and that you can demonstrate the flexibility to deal with various legal matters as they arise across the Council and have a proactive, solution-oriented attitude to resolving issues. You will be required to carry out advocacy on the Council’s behalf in courts and tribunals.
You must be committed to acquiring knowledge in other areas of law affecting local government.
